Tobias Kalisch
Double-Bass / Electric Bass As a bass player Tobias Kalisch works creatively within a wide range - from jazz to world music, from duos to theatre-productions.
Since 2001 he has been supported by Yehudi Menuhin´s "Live Music Now". Tobias regularly works with the world music group "huljet!" and with the American jazz-vibraphone virtuoso Bill Molenhof.
He has toured in Germany and Europe, in the USA, Russia and Argentina and has been invited to festivals in Paris, Vienna, Prague, Nashville and Stuttgart to name but a few.
As a sideman he has accompanied soloists like Don Menza, Frank Möbus, Steffen Schorn, Dieter Köhnlein, Harald Rüschenbaum and Alejandro Sánchez. Nürnberg in 1999. He was a member of the Bundesjugend-Jazzorchester led by
Tobias Kalisch completed his studies at the Meistersinger Konservatorium in Peter Herbolzheimer and studied bass with Mike Richmond.
